Marvin Wilson Obituary

Marvin Lee Wilson, age 63, of Green Forest, AR passed from this life Tuesday, April 14, 2021. He was born in Harrison, AR, November 22, 1957 to his loving parents, Jay Frank and Rena May Dickens Wilson.

Marvin started to work at Tyson Foods at 17 making his way up to supervisor. He was loved and respected by his fellow employee’s. Marvin also worked at Twin River Foods, Peco Foods, and was co-owner of a business. He was proud to come from a big, hard-working family. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, boating, cooking, gardening and hunting for morel mushrooms. Everyone was welcome to eat or drink from his endless coffee pot. From a young age he learned how to grow a garden.  It was said that he could feed half the country if given enough land. In years past, his corn and okra were known to grow 10-14 feet high.

Marvin leaves to cherish his memory, one daughter, Chandra Leigh Rose, son, Jacob Leon Wilson and wife Leslie, grandchildren, William Hayze Conway, Jacob Russell Keith Wilson, William Iean Conway, Kendall Rayne Gonce, Valeigh Jo Rose and RuthAnne Charlene Wilson. His favorite quote was “I helped make some beautiful grandkids”. He will be missed by his brothers and sisters, Mary Lou Gibbany, Bill Wilson, Danny Wilson, Noah Wilson, Liz Larmer, Lema Wilson, Joe Wilson and a number of nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Jay Frank and Rena May Wilson, brothers, Tracy and John Wilson, a life-long friend, David Fritz and several friends that were like his own family.

Memorial service will be Friday, April 23rd at 1:00 PM at The Depot in Green Forest.
