Peter Daniel

Peter Hansford Daniel Jr., age 91, passed away peacefully, surrounded by those who loved him on the 10th of October 2018. Peter was born in Batavia, AR on the 17th of December 1926, to Peter and Mahalia (Thacker) Daniel. On December 17, 1949 he was married to Zenobia Boren. Peter was a U.S. Navy Veteran and had served in both WWII and the Korean War.

Before retiring Peter worked in Allenwood, PA for the Federal Prison System as a supervisor in Mechanic Services (CMS). He enjoyed farming, woodworking and NASCAR. He was a loving devoted husband, father and grandfather. Peter was a faithful member of Alpena First Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon for a number of years.

He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Zenobia Daniel of the home, daughters, Sally Schiebel and husband Frank of Alpena, Karen Woomer and husband David of Springfield, MO, 3 grandchidren, Kristy Larangeria and husband Anthony and their children, Anthony Jackson and Joseph Paul all of Nixa, MO, Steven Schiebel and wife Shahla and their children Katherine, Sarah Amelia and Emily Marie all of Houston, TX, Peter Lewis Woomer and wife Tasha and their children Logan Stottle, Zoe, Elizabeth, Chloe, Khia and Lily.

Celebration Of Life Service will be 10:00 AM Saturday, October 13, 2018 at Alpena First Baptist Church with Pastor Freddie Blevins officiating. Interment, with Military Honors, will follow at Auman Cemetery in Alpena. Visitation will be 9:00-10:00 AM Saturday before the service begins.
