Rena Wilson Obituary

Rena Mae (Dickens) Wilson, age 88, of Harrison, AR passed away Sunday February 7, 2021. She was born July 1, 1932, daughter of Fred and Osie (Clayborn) Dickens.

Rena graduated from Alpena High School in 1951. On February 25, 1952 she married Jay Frank Wilson at the courthouse in Harrison, AR. Together they raised ten children. She was a homemaker and also worked for Tyson’s in Green Forest for 20 years.

Rena was a member of Ridgeway Church of Christ. She enjoyed sewing, embroidery work, crochet, and hand quilting. She loved reading and most of all she loved her family. She never met a new baby that she didn’t love and yearn to hold.  She was a beautiful individual, cherished by her family. The essence of the wonderful woman Rena Mae was, is difficult to condense into a few short sentences. She was loved by all who knew her and her memory will remain in each of our hearts.

She is survived by her husband, Jay Frank Wilson; children Mary Lou (Wilson) Gibbany of Farmington AR, Danny Wilson and wife Treva of Omaha, AR, William (Bill) Wilson and wife Dorothy of Alpena, AR, Marvin Wilson, Joe Wilson both of Green Forest, AR, Elizabeth (Wilson) Larimer and husband Dwight of Bentonville, AR, Lema Wilson of Alpena, AR, and Noah Wilson of Bartlesville, OK; seventeen grandchildren, many great and great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by sisters Mary Rose Hatch, Gladys Widner, and Viola Agiar; brother Fred Dickens; and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents and two sons Tracy Dearing Wilson and John Robert Wilson.
