Obituary

Ronald (Ron) Lee Denton, 78, of Omaha, Arkansas passed away on Wednesday, June 14, 2023. He was born November 1, 1944, in Olive Branch, Illinois to the late Chester Lee Denton and Mamie (Sams) Denton of Illinois. Ron married Nina (Mason) in Dayton, OH on November 15, 1980. Together they raised two kids on a farm in Denver, AR.

Ron enjoyed being outdoors and caring for animals. There was nothing he couldn’t build. As a construction contractor, he took pride in building beautiful homes as well as remodeling older buildings making them new again.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Damon (Hannah) Denton of Bogart, GA, and Ronda (Michelle) Denton of Florence, SC, as well as his granddaughter Zoë Grace, and two grandsons Timothy, and Paul; brothers David (Cheryl) Denton of San Diego, CA and Marvin (Terry) Denton of Hartford, Illinois; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Ron is preceded in death by both his parents as well as his older brother Roy Earl Denton (Thebes, IL) and sister Phyllis Jerman (East Alton, IL).
