Rosemary G Morris

Rosemary Gunn O’Gorek Morris was born to Edward and Letha Lee Gunn 2-25-1921 in Green Forest, Arkansas , one of 6 children.  Her surviving sibling is Bonnie Gunn Mokew and her daughter Kathy Brelje.

Rosemary was raised on a farm and worked the fields for her family’s livelihood.  She attended school in a one-room schoolhouse and worked in town at the dry goods store.  She sang and played piano for her family and for the 1st Baptist Church, Green Forest where she served in the children’s ministry.

Rosemary married and raised her four children who survive her:  Karen Juranovich, Jim O’Gorek, Lynn Reuter and Jerry Morris in Richmond, CA and their spouses.  She is also survived by her grandchildren:  Kimberly Miller, Paul Juranovich, Jimmy and Jarad O’Gorek, Brooke and Megan Morris and her great-grandchildren:  Ryan and Colin Miller, Ava, John Caden, Otin and and Molly O’Gorek and Chase Morris. Jody Jeffords-Rice was her  very Special Angel in her last days.

Rosemary had a strong and independent spirit and was a woman of faith, always wanting to help others.  She never ceased to brag about her children and grandchildren, as they were the light of her life, and she always had a smile and kind word for those she encountered.

Rosemary was an inspiration to those who knew her and after 99 years she died peacefully and with dignity – falling asleep and waking up next to her Lord Jesus Christ in heaven.

Graveside Service will be 2:00 PM, Saturday, March 21, 2020 at Pickens Cemetery, Green Forest, AR.
