Russell Logan

Russell David Logan, age 67, of Green Forest, AR passed away Wednesday, August 3, 2022, surrounded by family.  He was born February 7, 1955, in Killeen, TX, son of Donald and Bernita Faye (Hayhurst) Logan.

Shortly after Russell was born his family moved to Arkansas and settled in the Carroll County area.  As a boy he enjoyed playing on the farm, catching frogs and hunting and fishing.  Russell graduated from Green Forest High School in 1973.

Russell farmed with his father for many years and later became the owner and operator of Russell Logan Farms.  He began with raising Hogs and changed to poultry farming, which lasted for 49 years.  Working day and night to take care of his farm was his whole life.  Russell was known as a kind, humble person who was always ready to lend a hand to anyone.  He enjoyed exercising, watching movies and taking time for a bowl of vanilla ice-cream.  Russell attended Green Forest First Assembly of God Church.  He was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather, and brother.

Russell is survived by his wife Lovelyn Logan and son Levi Dayanan of the home, son, Landon Logan (Melinda) and their children, Ladd and Larson of Green Forest, son Lance Logan (Sarah) and their children, Layton and Kenlee of Green Forest, his mother, who he adored, Faye McKee of Green Forest, sister, Patty Maupin (Keith) of Green Forest and family Tara, Rick and Abigail of Sterlington, LA, brother, David Walker of Joplin, MO and family Casey Gatlin and Conley Gatlin of Alpena, extended Filipino family that he was very fond of, as well as many other family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his father, Donald Logan, and his grandparents.

Celebration of Life will be 2:00 PM, Monday August 8, 2022, at Green Forest First Assembly of God Church with Pastor Mark Bryant officiating.  Visitation will be 1:00 PM until the service begins.  Interment will be a private family only burial.
