Thomas Pendleton Johnson, age 79, of Oak Grove, AR passed away Saturday, May 23, 2026. He was born on November 13, 1946, to Jehue Johnson, Sr., and Frankie Mae (Mertz) Johnson in Tomball, TX. Thomas, known by family and friends as Tom, served his county in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He was a hard worker all his life and overcame many challenges with courage and strength. In his early years he worked as a commercial fisherman and worked at Schrieber’s. He spent the last several years cutting wood for people in the community, and he loved growing a huge garden. Tom especially loved spending time with his family and doing anything outdoors.

He is survived by his daughters Melissa Malcom and Kristy Johnson; grandchildren, Dakota Seckman, Sage Seckman, Sabal Wilkins, Denver Stephenson, Dalanie Stephenson, Demetre Cerrone, Dominiqua Cerrone; 13 great-grandchildren; and siblings, Sadie Reavis, Neil Johnson, Lavene Reavis, Margaret (Margie) Youngblood and Charlie Johnson. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, family, and friends

He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Edgar Johnson, Jake Johnson, Harold Johnson, Jehue Johnson Jr., Walter Johnson and John Johnson.

Celebration of Life will be on Saturday, June 13, 10:00 AM at Smith Family Funeral Home in Green Forest.
