Wayne W. White, age 79, passed away peacefully on August 10, 2009 in Oak Grove, Arkansas. He spent his retirement years in Shell Knob, Missouri, but most of his life was spent in the Chicago area. Most recently, he had been a business owner/operator in the Western suburbs. Prior to that, he had retired from Motorola where he had worked as an Electrical Engineer for 30 years. Wayne served his country in the U.S. Army from 1951 to 1953 . Wayne is survived by his wife Eileen, of 53 years; children, Linda Penkava of Wheaton, IL, Fred White of Kingwood, TX Nancy and husband (Jim) Jakubec of Oak Grove, AR; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren: and his brothers, Robert and wife Barbara White and Kenneth and wife Loni White. He was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Ruth White, and an infant son. Waynes life has been characterized by a genuine interest in the lives of others, and he will be remembered by many for the generosity shown to them. Graveside service will be held at McCullough Cemetery in Shell Knob, MO., at 11:00 AM , Wednesday, Visitation will be 10:00AM to 11:00AM at the church. Rev. Jonathan Brobston will officiate.
