Wendell Loyd Parton

Wendell Loyd Parton, age 66, of Lampe, Mo, loving husband, father, grandfather and brother died Tuesday, January 12, 2021. He was born September 11, 1954 in Lampe, MO son of the late Jay and Chloe (Cron) Parton.

Wendell grew up in Blue Eye area along with his two brothers and one sister. On November 28, 1972 he married Barbara Kling. Wendell was a building contractor for over 25 years with Parton Construction Company. He was well known for his beautiful homes he built in the Table Rock lake areas.   He loved being with his friends and family, playing cards, and hunting. Wendell was a member of Harvest Assembly Church in Oak Grove since 1999. He served as a prayer team leader for a number of years and loved sharing his love for Jesus.

Wendell is survived by his wife, Barbara Parton, son, Greg Parton of Green Forest and step-daughter Carrie Parsons of Springfield, MO, grandchildren, Alyssa, Tosha, Garrett, Leslie and Weston, 7 great-grandchildren that he loved dearly, brothers, Darrell Parton and wife Beverly of Berryville, Herb Parton and wife Betty of Bella Vista, sister, Clara (Bunny) Tittsworth and husband Bob of Oak Grove, AR and a host of friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents Jay and Chloe Parton.

Celebration Of Life Memorial Service will be 2:00 PM Saturday, January 16, 2021 at Harvest Assembly Church in Oak Grove with Pastor Todd Rogers officiating. Private interment will be at a later date at Blue Eye Cemetery. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Smith Family Funeral Home of Green Forest.
