Jim Smith

Jim Smith

Owner, Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer

Jim is the owner of Smith Family Funeral Home and is a licensed funeral director and embalmer. After graduating from Green Forest High School he went on to graduate from Dallas Institute of Mortuary Science. He and his wife Kathy have been married for over 50 years. They have 3 children and 10 grandchildren. Jim lives a life committed to service, including: serving in the Army, his church, kids sporting events and the community. He is a member of Berryville Church On The Hill and the Gideon's. In his free time he enjoys hunting, fishing, wood-working, golfing, gardening and spending time with family and friends. Jim says, "This opportunity that Kathy and I have been given of owning our family business is a dream come true. It has enabled us to serve families and make them feel they are receiving the personal attention that is required in personalizing each funeral."

Kathy Smith

Kathy Smith

Co-Owner, Licensed Funeral Director

Kathy graduated from Alpena High School in 1967. After becoming a nurse she worked as an LPN for 27 years before becoming a licensed funeral director. Kathy is a member of Church On The Hill, Berryville, AR, Mercy Hospital Auxiliary and the Gideon's. She loves spending time with her family, interior design work, reading and taking long walks. As a terminal care nurse for many years Kathy became well trained in dealing with grief and her focus is always on the needs of the people she serves. "Helping families during their time of enormous sadness is truly a ministry. I feel honored and privileged to comfort and support," she says.

Rick Smith

Rick Smith

Licensed Funeral Director

Rick is an ordained minister with the Assemblies of God and he has served as a pastor, hospice chaplain and fire department chaplain through the years. He hold a B.A. in Pastoral Ministry from Evangel University in Springfield, MO.  He and his wife Tiffany have 3 adult children. Tiffany is a math teacher at Berryville High School. They are members of The Harvest Church in Oak Grove. His hobbies include family time, playing drums at church, and hunting. He is an avid Arkansas Razorbacks and St. Louis Cardinals fan and he looks forward to any game he can attend.

Sheila Robnett

Sheila Robnett

Licensed Funeral Director

Sheila has worked with Smith Family Funeral Home since day one, serving a vital role in office management and managing social media accounts. As a funeral director  she works with families in making arrangements and assisting with funeral service needs.  She enjoys cooking and the outdoors, especially spending time kayaking and time on the boat with her family. She and her husband Casey are the proud parents of 3 boys.


Joan Smith

Joan Smith

Visitation Host/ Office Assistant

Joan is a graduate of Bethany University with a B.A. in Applied Professional Studies with an emphasis on early childhood education, psychology, and theology. She has an extensive background in working with National Teen Challenge, church ministries, chaplaincy, administration and more. She speaks at churches and women’s conferences, and she is the author of Life Unhinged. She and her husband Alan have enjoyed years of ministry together and still count it a privilege to serve in any way they can. They are members of Green Forest First Assembly of God. She also enjoys artwork and working with children.


Alan Smith

Alan Smith

Visitation Host/ Office Assistant

Alan, a California transplant, has always worked in service fields: nursing, as a burn tech, and in respiratory services. He has also worked alongside his wife Joan in ministry for many years, faithfully ministering to the homeless and to those with life controlling issues. He was affectionately known as "Papa" to many of those he served. Alan serves as a deacon at Green Forest First Assembly of God Church and in many other roles at church, and here at Smith Family Funeral Home.


Tony Wilson

Tony Wilson

Funeral Assistant

Tony moved to the Ozarks from Mississippi,  where he served as a pastor, funeral director assistant and hospice chaplain. He and his wife Sheila have 2 children. His hobbies include golfing, hunting, traveling and spending time with his family. He serves as a funeral assistant. Tony states, "A quiet and caring touch is needed when meeting families who have just lost a loved one, compassion and understanding of this kind is what Smith Family Funeral Home is about".


Tiffany Smith

Tiffany and her husband Rick returned to Northwest Arkansas in 2021 to work with their family at Smith Family Funeral Home. She is a licensed high school math teacher and works at Berryville High School. She received a B.S. in mathematics from Henderson State University.  She assists the funeral home with office management and works with visitations and funerals.  Her hobbies include craft projects, crochet, cooking and being with her family every chance she gets. She and Rick have 3 adult children.


Steve Smith

Staff

Steve has been a licensed funeral director and embalmer for over 30 years, working for two of the leading funeral homes in the state of Arkansas in his career. He is a graduate of Dallas Institute of Mortuary Science. He is an ordained minister. He and his wife Regina are the proud parents of 4 beautiful children.  His hobbies include fishing, hunting, golf and relaxing with his family.
