Smith Family Funeral Home was founded in 2003 with a very simple mission:

Celebrating Lives … Honoring Memories

Having grown up in Carroll County, Jim and Kathy Smith returned to their roots to serve the community they loved and always called home. They purchased a small acreage at the corner of Main St. and Butler St. in Green Forest to begin their dream. Shortly after renovating the house on Main St. to become the office, they opened the doors of Smith Family Funeral Home to serve Carroll County and the surrounding communities. Soon, they added a 140-seat chapel that features a welcoming and comfortable environment, modern technology to serve today’s needs, the Veterans Memorial Wall, and a family room with serving area. The chapel was remodeled in 2022.

As their staff and services continue to grow, Smith Family still holds to the same mission. They have deep rooted values that they live each day that help them carry out that mission.
